The Marlborough is a large corner pub, built at the same time as the surrounding rows of terraced houses in the 1890s, and typical of its time. Inside there are two bars, with a pool table and dart board at the rear and a bar billiards table to one side, with exposed brickwork decorated with signage from well-known and local businesses such as Colman's. Comfortable seating, including at the bar, and sports on TV complement five local real ales and a selection of real ciders.
