The Norfolk Tasting Panel is responsible for writing the tasting notes in the Breweries sections of the Good Beer Guide, and organises the Champion Beer of Norfolk competitions, for cask, bottle conditioned and can conditioned beers.

Cask beers are sampled at three-weekly tasting sessions in Norwich pubs, as well as by members individually in other areas, and the canned and bottled competitions are run over the summer in group tastings hosted by members at their homes.
