A 400-year-old building on the old Cattlemarket in the centre of the city, beside Norwich Castle. For most of that time known as the Plough, then Le Rouen (celebrating Norwich's twin city in Normandy), the pub was renamed Number 12 in 2008. Since refurbished inside and out in a modern style, with three ales on the bar. May close early weekday evenings.
